Our programmes

We work on the road, in homes and in schools so that girls and women are safe from sexual corruption and gender-based violence.

Safari Salama Bila Rushwa ya Ngono

WAJIKI’s flagship campaign began in 2018. We train bodaboda, bajaji and daladala drivers, conductors and stand leaders to protect the girls and women they carry.

Phase six was launched at Bunju A and is running in Kinondoni, Ilala and Temeke districts, in partnership with drivers’ associations, traffic police and LATRA, with funding from Women Fund Tanzania Trust.

Door to Door

Our teams go house to house, talking with families about gender-based violence, sexual corruption and how to report it. This brings the message to parents and carers where they live.

Education for Children

We set up and strengthen anti-sexual-corruption clubs in primary and secondary schools. Children learn their rights and report abuse they face at home and in the street. More than 4,300 children have been reached.
