The problem and the answer

Sexual corruption starts on the road

Many girls face pressure and harassment on their way to school or work. Transport drivers are the people closest to them every day, so they can be part of the solution.

How the campaign works

1

We train drivers

Training at bodaboda, bajaji and daladala stands on sexual corruption, the law and the rights of the child.

2

They become ambassadors

Trained drivers educate their peers and protect the girls they carry.

3

Communities report abuse

Children, parents and teachers learn how to report abuse through school clubs and the Door to Door campaign.

Watch the Safari Salama documentary

Hear directly from drivers, students and communities how the Safari Salama campaign against sexual corruption is changing lives in Dar es Salaam.

“We bodaboda drivers raise our voices against sexual corruption. Let us protect the girl child and help her achieve her dreams.”
